Jamie's 26th Birthday

 

Saturday...we went to Newport Coast to have a late lunch at Javier's and do a little shopping.  I had a wonderful time with three very special people in my life.  We enjoyed great food and the best margaritas (can you tell?!?).  

 

Sunday...we went to our local wineries again!!!  We stopped at Ponte and Wilson Creek and finished the night at Lucille's BBQ.  It was such an amazing birthday and I feel so blessed to have such an incredible FAMILY. 

Christmas is coming...

 

... at least at our house!  On Halloween we spent the day Christmas shopping...you can never get an early enough start.  Target was already playing Christmas music so we knew we weren't the only crazy people.  Instead of passing out candy I spent the night wrapping while Brad tried very hard to get me to watch a scary movie.  We are more than halfway done and running out of room in the guest room closet and are in serious need of a Christmas tree!

We celebrated our first Halloween in our new home and did not get one trick-or-treater.  I was sad (as you see me desperately waiting!) not to see any cute little kiddos in costume but Brad sure made up for the lack of trick-or-treaters as the candy seemed to disappear rather quickly.  We borrowed the "scary" pumpkins from Grandma and Grandpa Aughinbaugh and were hesitant to return them.  The Bosters gave us the dish towels and candy bowl to keep our house looking festive!  

Jimenez/Boster Dinner

 

Last Sunday the Boster Family and The Jimenez Family had the opportunity to spend some time getting to know each other better at one of our favorite restaurants, "BJ's"! It was a great time, great food, and great conversation....love you all!

More Planning...

 

We have finished and sent off the Save-the-Dates.  You should be receiving one early this week!  So keep checking your mailbox.  We also had a great time making the garter!  

 

We also stopped by F & S Fabrics to purchase the fabric needed to make the flowergirls' dresses.  We cannot wait to see the finished products...thanks Aunt Joan!

Race for the Cure

 

We took part in the Race for the Cure along with several other CALFIRE employees and their families as part of Team Peas.  This walk supported breast cancer survivors and victims.  It was great to see so many people supporting such a worthy cause.  As a cancer survivor myself, it hits really close to home knowing that there are so many people willing to give up their Sunday morning.  Anyone can take part in this and to find out how to get involved click on Race for the Cure.
