Ending Domestic Violence...one STEP at a time!

Today my co-worker Lisa and I had the pleasure of Walking-A-Mile in an effort to end Domestic Violence. As you know I work for a Foster & Adoption Agency where I am constantly confronted with Foster Children who are in the system as a direct result of Domestic Violence and their exposure to it. Ending the cycle of abuse has become a passion of mine and I love going to work knowing that in some way (as small as it may be), I am helping to end abuse.

Jen's 24th Birthday...

 

Brad got off just in time to celebrate Jen's 24th Birthday at our local wineries in Temecula.  We were excited to throw our first party at our new home.  We started off at South Coast and finished at our favorite winery, PONTE!  We are considering becoming members before starting our family.  But we both agree that we will NEED it more when we have a family.

We had our engagment party at the Avendale Clubhouse in Ladera Ranch.  It was a great opportunity to celebrate with family and friends that mean so much to us.  Both sides of our families were finally able to meet one another!  This was the first of many events to come.  We are looking forward to spending them with you all.

There's No Place Like HOME...

 

Over the past few months we have been incredibly busy, but all for good reason. We are lucky enough to have purchased our FIRST PLACE!!! Although it has been a stressful & crazy time in our lives, we wouldn't trade it for anything. There is nothing better than coming home to a place that is all your own. Our friends and family have been incredible throughout this process. They have helped us move, paint, organize and have given us expert advice. We cannot thank them enough for how much they have sacrificed for us over the past couple of months.

We celebrated Brad's 26th Birthday in our new townhouse!!! Brad received many useful birthday presents and our home is definitely proof that a little bit of paint goes on long way!!!

Of course we will continue to update our blog with new pictures of our home. We are constantly adding new things or changing things to truly make it unique to us.

We hope you all are able to make it out here to see it...we promise to treat you to a dinner courtesy of our brand new kitchen!!!
